Can You Cook Walmart Marketside Pizza in a PIEZANO XL 14-Inch Pizza Oven?

russej02 · Oct 13 · 2 min read

I wanted to see how a refrigerated Walmart Marketside pizza would do in the 14-inch PIEZANO XL. To be clear, this was a refrigerated pizza, not a frozen one.

The bigger XL model is useful here because it gives me enough room for this larger store-bought pizza without having to make my own dough or build a pizza from scratch.

For this test, I ran the PIEZANO XL at 800°F on the top and 800°F on the bottom, and I cooked the refrigerated pizza for 5 minutes.

The result was great, and I would definitely cook one this way again.

PIEZANO XL Settings for Walmart Marketside Pizza

These are the settings I used for this specific cook:

Those numbers come from this one test with this particular refrigerated pizza. I am not saying they are universal instructions for every store-bought pizza, since different pizzas and ovens can behave differently.

Why the XL Size Matters

The main reason I used the XL version here is size. The 14-inch PIEZANO XL gives me enough room to fit the larger Marketside pizza, which is exactly what I needed for a store-bought pie this size.

With the XL, I could cook the pizza as it came, without making dough or trying to squeeze it into a smaller oven. That is the practical advantage of the bigger model for me.

How the Pizza Turned Out

The pizza turned out great. I ran it at 800°F on the top and 800°F on the bottom for 5 minutes, and that was the whole cook.

Based on this, I would definitely cook another refrigerated Marketside pizza this way. It was a straightforward result that I was happy with.

Is the PIEZANO XL Practical for Refrigerated Pizza?

For me, yes. It was a practical way to cook a larger refrigerated store-bought pizza quickly. This was a refrigerated pizza, not a frozen one and not a homemade one, and the XL size let it fit and cook without any extra work.

If you like quick kitchen tests like this one, I also have a post on air fryer brats and the time and temperature I use.

The Pizza Oven I Used

The oven I used is the Granitestone PIEZANO XL 14-Inch Pizza Oven. It is the larger model, which is what let me fit this pizza.

Final Thoughts

The pizza turned out great, the XL size made it possible to fit the larger Marketside pizza, and I would definitely use this method again. Running a refrigerated pizza at 800°F on the top and bottom for 5 minutes was a quick way to get a store-bought pizza done in the PIEZANO XL.
