If you have an older Waterpik Complete Care 5.0, replacing the toothbrush head is quick once you know how it releases. In the video below, I show how I remove the old brush head and install a replacement on the Waterpik sonic toothbrush.
How to Remove the Old Waterpik Brush Head
To remove the old brush head, release it from the toothbrush handle and pull the head straight off. Once it is removed, the replacement head installs in the same location on the handle.
Replacement Brush Heads for the Waterpik Complete Care 5.0
For this older Waterpik Complete Care 5.0, the replacement brush heads I'm looking for are the Triple Sonic style used with this generation of Waterpik toothbrush. The original Complete Care 5.0 is discontinued, but compatible replacement heads are still available.

How to Install the New Waterpik Brush Head
Installing the replacement is basically the reverse of removing the old one. Slide the new brush head onto the toothbrush handle until it is fully seated and secure. Give it a quick check before turning the toothbrush on to make sure the head is attached correctly.
Final Thoughts
Replacing the brush head on the Waterpik Complete Care 5.0 is a simple job once you know how it releases from the handle. Even though this older Complete Care model has been discontinued, replacement Triple Sonic brush heads are still available, so there's no reason to replace the entire unit just because the brush head is worn out.
